House with fan and crane

Schwabach – Dietersdorf

The project for a house with a fan and crane involves the construction of a new, open, two-story single-family home on a hillside with a floor area of around 150 m². In addition to the garage, the basement also houses a workshop with an overhead crane, and a crane runway has been installed on the support consoles in the open upper floor. The supporting structure in the basement consists of a continuous reinforced concrete wall on the hillside side and reinforced concrete columns at regular intervals on the opposite side. The grid of reinforced concrete columns continues on the upper floor and on both long sides of the building. Since there are no interior walls or load-bearing exterior walls on the upper floor, the building is braced by the reinforced concrete columns anchored in the basement.

The ceiling construction between the basement and upper floor was economically designed as a prefabricated slab, while the roof construction consists of a timber truss structure visible from the inside. Cantilevered roof elements are supported diagonally by the cantilevered reinforced concrete columns. The upper floor is accessed vertically via a semi-spiral prefabricated reinforced concrete staircase.
