WBW "Ersatzneubau Gänstorbrücke" in Ulm - Stephan Engelsmann Chairman of the jury

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stephan Engelsmann is chairman of the jury for the WBW replacement new building Gänstorbrücke Ulm / Neu-Ulm. The existing Gänstorbrücke, completed in 1950, a design by Ulrich Finsterwalder, is one of the first prestressed concrete bridges built in Germany after the Second World War. Not least with a remarkable foundation, the slender frame structure copes with the large span of almost 100 metres. The Gänstorbrücke is one of only three Danube crossings in the city area of Ulm and Neu-Ulm and connects the federal states of Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria.
