Topping out ceremony Rottenburg City Library

On 30.09. the topping-out ceremony of the Rottenburg municipal library was celebrated. The building was planned by harris + kurrle architects bda and emerged as the winner of the preceding realisation competition, in which ENGELSMANN PETERS was already part of the planning team. The five-storey building was constructed using a combined masonry-concrete construction method. The asymmetrical truss of the gable roof was designed as a wooden construction. The load-bearing structure was dimensioned for actions in earthquake zone III. The completion of the building on the edge of the historic city centre is scheduled for May 2017.
