Swabian-Hall

The new building of the fourth construction phase of Optima Pharma consists of a production and assembly hall with an office wing in front. It was built in 2018. The assembly hall has a floor plan measuring around 55.0m x 60.0m. The hall does not have a basement and can be accessed by forklift trucks at ground level. The height of the hall (including the surrounding parapet) is around 12.50m above ground level. The vertical roof and suspension loads of the hall are transferred via prestressed concrete or precast reinforced concrete beams, which rest on clamped precast reinforced concrete columns or are supported by a precast reinforced concrete beam. The construction height of the precast prestressed concrete girders is a maximum of around 1.70 m, with a maximum span of 28.80 m. The reinforced concrete columns, which are up to almost 12.0 m high, have dimensions of approx. 60 x 60 cm and are designed with pockets in the head area to ensure that the beams cannot tip over. The hall is braced against horizontal loads in both
main directions via the clamped reinforced concrete columns. The low-slope roof of the logistics hall is a lightweight construction made of trapezoidal sheet metal.

Adjacent to the northern side of the hall is an office building measuring approx. 7.20 x 60.40 m, which was constructed in solid construction. The office building has four floors (basement, ground floor and 1st and 2nd floors) and is approx. 16.0 m high, of which approx. 12.20 m are above ground. The ceilings are reinforced concrete ceiling slabs, which are supported on steel columns and steel walls. The office building is braced by the floor slabs and the walls of the two building cores.
