WBW FRANKLIN Steg Mannheim

WBW FRANKLIN Steg Mannheim

On 15 September, the jury meeting for the construction of a new foot and cycle path bridge over the B38 in the north-east of Mannheim took place. The new bridge is part of an urban master plan and will connect the new district FRANKLIN with the district Vogelstang.

Out of 14 submissions from the top-class field of participants, the jury selected two 1st prizes and one 3rd prize. Engelsmann Peters was responsible for the preparation and supervision of the EU-wide, non-open competition. Who will be awarded the contract will be decided in the subsequent VgV procedure, which will also be supervised by us.

The awarding authority for the procedure is MWSP, which is responsible for one of the largest German conversion projects, the FRANKLIN conversion project from a former US military base to an innovative urban district with model character.
